Tracking

I've never been one to be super strict about following a specific diet plan or count calories. The have been a couple of times where I've used online programs to track my eating (post-babies, for example), but I don't find it as a long-term necessity. That said, I definitely find tracking my intake to be helpful in  establishing or re-establishing the healthy eating habits that help me feel my best. I got into a pretty good sugar habit again over the holidays, and while I've done pretty well getting away from all the treats, I feel I need a little help to get rid of that craving for needing something sweet every day. I'd also like to have a better idea of how I'm doing on my ratio of macronutrients (carbs, fat, protein) along with tracking sugar. Along with this tracking endeavor, I'm making greater efforts toward consuming fewer processed foods. The tool I'm using is My Fitness Pal, and its available online and as a smartphone app. I like that its easy to use and you can customize your goals based on your needs.
